Personal medical information is protected by law in all fifty of these United States. Only a judge can order such information passed on to others, and that wont be done unless public health is at stake. Even though you are part of quotthe publicquot, youre not entitled to such information. Youd have to pay a lawyer to petition the appropriate court to release that information. Should the unexpected happen and you do gain access to someone elses medical records, you are barred by law from divulging that information to others! Stiff fines and jail time are the penalties youd pay.
