I bought a time machine off the net. Did I get ripped off?

Question

I bought a time machine off the net. Did I get ripped off?
Everytime I use it, it gives me an electric shock and so far I can only get it to travel to the exact time and place that I left. Please help as it cost a lot of money.

Answer

It may work. brbrThe problem is that if it does then the versions of you which have travelled and arrived are seperate entities to the you which stays in the same place.brbrAnd, as with parallel lines, each self can never connect with the other versions.brbrFor every action you take, there are an infinite number of actions you didnt take, which all have an infinite number of eventualities. brbrSome theorists believe that these all take place, in parallel, all of the time. But are totally unreachable.brbrYou just have an infinite number of yous who continue playing out these infinite possibilities in infinite parallel realities.brbrOf course the other, much more probable eventuality occams law is that yes, you were badly ripped off and should not use this clearly dubious item again getting electric shocks is not a good thing, and it could do you serious harm. brbrBelieving the unbelievable can be very bad for your mental and financial health.
