Does a year old deserve a cellphone?
Shes responsible, i know. She claims shell use it and not waste it And she says everyone in school has one. should i get her one?

I personally think that is a little young. If youi feel that it would be useful to you to be able to contact her etc. Then it would be more of a possibility. I would suggest either getting her a prepaid phone where she buys the minutes upfront or you can go with a phone thru Tmobile called Flex Pay. It is a new system that they came up with to replace people having a deposit. The other good thing especially for you is that the plan is designed where when she uses up all her minutes she wont be able to use the phone anymore and it wont cause overage charges on your bill. Its a really nice program especially in this case and it will be cheaper in the long run than getting prepaid. You will be able to set it so that it deducts the amount directly out of your checking account each month so you dont have to worry about it. She can also use this plan with a myfaves program where she can pick any five people including landlines to call for free. This doesnt use up minutes and she can change them every month. The basic plan that includes all of the above would cost . per month. This plan would includebrFree calling to any numbersbr Whenever Minutes she would use when she isnt calling her myfavesbrUnlimited calling after pm and all weekend longbrbrAlso if she uses up all of her whenever minutes in a month she will still be able to use her unlimited night and weekend minutes and call her myfaves. If she wants to download ringtones etc. she would have to buy a prepaid card to do that so it wont charge it on your bill and you can control it way better.
